What Are Snap-In Implant Dentures?

If you’re seeking a reliable solution for long-term tooth decay and missing teeth, snap-in implant dentures are an excellent choice. These dentures are typically provided for the lower jaw and can range from 2-4 implants to secure the dentures effectively. The more implants, the better the retention; for example, four implants provide more stability than two. They offer superior stability by securely snapping onto these strategically placed implants in your lower jaw. Enjoy the confidence of dentures that won’t unexpectedly shift while talking or eating, yet can be easily removed for cleaning.

Timeline

The snap-in implant denture process involves several stages, typically spanning a little over 6 months. After removing any remaining teeth, we place the implants, allowing them to heal for approximately 4-6 months. During this time, you can wear your dentures normally. Following the healing period, we perform an “uncovery” procedure, accessing the implants and placing healing abutments. After two weeks, when the gums have healed around the abutments, we attach the snapping feature to your denture, allowing you to easily snap it in and out. This complete process takes a little over 6 months. To ensure the long-term success of your implants and overall oral health, we recommend regular dental check-ups and prefer to see our patients every six months for cleanings, which play a crucial role in maintaining the health of the implant.

What Are Traditional Dentures?

At Smiles Only, we offer traditional dentures as an affordable option to replace damaged or missing teeth. Our in-house denture lab ensures a custom fit, allowing the dentures to snugly cover your gums and provide artificial teeth.

• Immediate Denture, Upper and Lower: $3,900 (includes extractions)
• Replacement Denture, Upper OR Lower: $1,500

Timeline

With immediate dentures, you receive your new set of teeth on the same day as the removal of any remaining teeth, ensuring you never have to go without teeth. During the first 3 months of healing, we recommend coming in for a soft liner application, which provides cushioning as your gums heal. After 3-6 months, we perform a lab reline, perfectly refitting the inside of your denture to your newly healed gums for a secure fit. As a final step, once your gums and jaw have fully healed, we typically recommend creating an entirely new complete denture. This new denture will provide an improved fit, better functionality, and esthetics, contributing to the long-term success of your oral health.
