Pre-Procedure Guidelines
To prepare for a sedation appointment, you must fast for 4-6 hours prior to your appointment. It is essential to have a caregiver accompany you to your appointment for your comfort and safety. You must also have a caregiver take you home from your appointment, that is responsible for looking after you for 24 hours after your appointment.
While we primarily focus on IV moderate sedation we do offer the option of general anesthesia. This service involves collaboration with an anesthesiologist and is generally reserved for advanced surgical treatments and special needs patients who are good candidates for outpatient general anesthesia.
